Fat & Lonely to Vibrant & Happy

It’s sad that our culture is obsessed with weight control. Models struggle with not gaining weight, while our plus-sized models are criticized as being “unhealthy”. What’s important is to feel comfortable with yourself and your body. Only you are in control of your body. If you are exercising and eating healthy, you don’t need to obsess about losing weight. It’s more important to feel good about who you are. Weight loss may come naturally, if that’s your goal.

Don’t surround yourself with people who make you feel bad about yourself. Instead, befriend yourself with healthy, happy people who make you feel healthy and happy, as well. Make it a point to find a partner who loves you the way you are. Don’t settle for someone because you think your options are limited. They’re not! Find a bbw dating site that will help you find people who can relate to your weight issues and experiences.

In the past, a woman’s size wasn’t expected to be small. Hips were for making babies and that was a good thing! It was trendy for women to be pleasantly plump. So when you feel blue about yourself, just know that it’s just today’s “trend” to be thin. Don’t put any stock in what society dictates as good, bad, right, or wrong. Just be yourself!

Don’t be that girl who hates her body. You’re still beautiful and the world is still awesome and brimming with exciting possibilities. Kill the haters with kindness. You’ll catch them off-guard and they won’t see it coming. Don’t bring yourself down to their level. They aren’t worth it!

Don’t tolerate others who insult your body and, in turn, don’t you think badly about it. That just breeds negative feelings and contributes to negative self-esteem. You don’t need that.

Take pride of your body. Don’t limit yourself in the world because you feel you take up too much of it. Don’t be afraid to take risks. Your size isn’t holding you back. If you feel awkward, people will pick up on that. If you’re confident with yourself, people will pick up on that, too.

“Fat” is a word that has a negative implication, but it shouldn’t! It should be just a descriptive term, like “blonde,” “cute,” or “short”. By disregarding that term and claiming it as such, you’ll disarm people who use that word as an insult. Try not to use euphemisms like “overweight” that imply that there’s something wrong with being fat.

You’ll find this to be true when connecting with people via bbw datingYou’ll be amazed at how quickly your social life becomes and, in turn, how wonderfully your confidence and self-esteem grows!

Love your body. Without this, you’re going to feel like just another lonely fat girl. Once you take charge of your opinion of yourself as a beautiful, confident woman with so much to offer, positive thoughts about yourself will start falling into place. The goal here is to be able to look in the mirror and realize that you’re beautiful and important. The point here is that while, yes, you are a fat girl, you’re also a thousand other things!

Decide how you’re going to handle your conversations with people while bbw dating. Once you’re the girl who is okay with being overweight, you’ll be able to comfortably be your true self when communicating with others. The people you meet won’t have any preconceived notions about you because they’re in the same boat as you…and just as determined to find a long-lasting and loving relationship.

Don’t try to hide your body. There’s really no point in that. After all, if you are using a bbw dating site to find love, you know all the guys on the site are looking for a woman with curves. If you try to position yourself so that you look skinnier or try to cover yourself up with baggy clothes or are reluctant to have sex with the lights on, then it’s time to give it up! You are aware of what your body looks like. Your boyfriend knows. Everyone knows, so there’s no use trying to cling to the facade that it can be hidden. It can’t. And you know what? It’s fine! This is who you are. Coming to grips with it sooner rather than later, might as well be sooner.

It’s no secret that lots of us fat girls have insecurity issues. Society is pretty condescending 24/7. But not all attention is good attention — just because someone is paying some attention to you doesn’t mean you need to always entertain that attention.

To put it clearly, if a guy comes up to you at the bar and asks you to go home with him, you don’t have to. Some guys look at a fat girl as being easy because she’s desperate for physical attention by, “whoever”. Send those guys home with themselves! Online bbw dating is a much better and safer way to get a date and fine true happiness.

Wear flattering clothes. You can’t “hide” the fat, but you can still be pretty and beautiful and have a great sense of style. Accessorize with things that make you feel good. Whatever your style, do everything in your power to rock it!

Be healthy. Virtually all of the health risks associated with being fat are actually tied to poor diet and a lack of exercise. Exercising and eating right to prevent fatty buildup in important organs and arteries will promote a strong immune system and will help in your body healing itself if you get injured or sick. Weight loss is not necessary to be healthy (except in the most extreme cases), and attention to exercise and food intake should be entirely for your health and never for the purpose of shrinking!
